Getting There
Travel & Stay
Everything you need to know about getting to Punta Del Este and making the most of your trip.
Flights
Fly into Montevideo (MVD) – Uruguay's main international airport. From Montreal (YUL) – the best routes are through Panama City (PTY) with Copa Airlines or through Miami (MIA) with American Airlines. From there, Punta Del Este is approximately a 2-hour drive east along the beautiful coastline.
You can also fly through São Paulo (GRU), where local Brazilian airlines offer direct flights to Punta Del Este (PDP), skipping the drive entirely.
Accommodation
We've arranged group rates at select hotels in Punta del Este. Rooms will range between $250–$350 USD per night — details and booking codes will be shared in the upcoming months via email.
For groups traveling together, we also recommend looking into Airbnb rentals — they can be more economical and give you a shared home base.
Transportation
Shuttle buses will run between partner hotels and the venue on the wedding day. We will also be providing transportation to the various wedding week events — more details will be shared closer to the date.
Car rentals are available at Montevideo airport if you prefer to explore on your own — the drive to Punta Del Este is about 2 hours along a beautiful coastal highway.

Things to Do
Punta Del Este and its surroundings have plenty to offer beyond the wedding week. Here are some of our favorite spots and experiences.
José Ignacio
A bohemian fishing village about 40 minutes east. Don't miss Parador La Huella — one of the best restaurants on the continent. Barefoot dining, incredible seafood, and a sunset scene you won't forget.
Bodega Garzón
A world-class winery about an hour from Punta Del Este. Beautiful architecture, incredible Tannat wines, and a restaurant by Francis Mallmann. Book a tasting or lunch in advance — it fills up fast.
La Mano & Playa Brava
The iconic giant fingers emerging from the sand — Punta Del Este's most photographed landmark. Playa Brava faces the Atlantic with bigger waves, while Playa Mansa on the other side has calm waters perfect for swimming.
Museo Ralli & Atchugarry
Two free museums worth visiting. Museo Ralli houses one of the most important collections of Latin American contemporary art. The Fundación Pablo Atchugarry features monumental sculptures set in beautiful parkland.
Mercado del Puerto & Dining
The port area is full of fresh seafood restaurants and sea lions lounging on the docks. For a day trip, Montevideo's Mercado del Puerto is Uruguay's most famous food market — all wood-fired grills and local wine.
Montevideo & Colonia
Uruguay's capital is about 2 hours west and well worth a day trip. Wander the Ciudad Vieja, and discover Montevideo's Armenian heritage — home to one of the oldest Armenian communities in South America. Continue another 2.5 hours west to Colonia del Sacramento, a UNESCO World Heritage city with cobblestoned streets dating back to the 1680s, and unforgettable sunsets over the Río de la Plata.
